ITV Chart Show - Indie Chart (12th June 1993)

This chart has one of my all time favourite songs (BANG BANG MACHINE - Geek Love). This song vocally is quite similar to the Cranes, but more guitarish, if there is ever a word !!! When I first heard this song, I immediately fell in love with it. I thought this group is going to be big. Sadly that wasn't the case, because their follow up really didn't match up with Geek Love. In fact, they kinda just disappeared after a couple of singles, which was probably the most case with indie acts in the early 90's.

Geek Love was also released in 1992 but didn't make it any difference in 1993, because both times never hit the Top 40. Even then, early 90's songs that never hit the Top 40 were more better than those that were already in the charts. To be honest, early 90's mainstream music really sucked and the specialist charts especially the Rock and Indie on The Chart Show certainly brighten up the dire status of music.
