THE CHART SHOW - Rock Chart (12th August 1989)

I always loved the ghost train to the Rock Chart. Not only because of the graphics, but the sound of the guitars of the intro suited the introduction to the rock genre of the late 80's. Apart from the Glam Metal bands that were dominating the scene, there were also thrash metal bands such as Metallica popping up.

The shock of seeing Slaughter's Welcome to Dying soundtrack with the picture of It Bites, didn't really go down with thrash metal fans. I could guess that the chart show couldn't find a picture of the band Slaughter, although Slaughter did have a video appearance on the Rock Chart in mid-1989.

I know the Chart Show always made mistakes, but surely they could have had the right picture of the band, even if they didn't have a video. But even then, this rock chart is still one of my favs, with great music from Guns n Roses, Alice Cooper, Dare, The Cult, FM and even Slaughter. Although Slaughter's track lasts for nearly 10 minutes !!!
