THE CHART SHOW - Dance Chart (7th January 1989)

This chart comes from the first ever episode of the ITV Chart Show. I have to confess I prefer the ITV version of the chart show. It was more to do with the graphics, especially the fairground theme. Even then they still cocked up this chart, when The Chart Show showed Inner City at number 1 as a non-mover, they played the song and showed the song as going up, rather than being at the same position.

Inner City definitely dominated the dance scene in the late 80's. Where are they now ? No idea, but interestingly no one has written an article on them in wikipedia !!! I wonder what that can mean !!!
