THE CHART SHOW - Chart File Update (5th August 1989)

I really missed the Chart File Update when it was gone. It was basically an update of the Rock, Indie, Dance and Album Chart. In this Chart File Update, they completely cocked up the Album Chart, when they played a Guns 'n' Roses track called Patience, that never came from the Appetite for Destruction album. It actually came from GNR Lies Album.

Apart from this cock-up, the chart file update was a unique way in peering down on the ups and downs of the specialist charts. It made me interested in finding out acts and hearing their music. There will never be any type of chart file update on British Television nor on the satelitte channels, but I certainly had fond memories of them !!!
